Miriam Slater resides in Santa Barbara California where she works avidly in a variety of mediums, always striving to experiment in styles that have developed through her life of studies with her mentors, Lorser Feitelson and Harry Carmean. Gifted with the ability to express whimsy and sensuality, Slater has been highly sought after for her expressive portraiture and her wonderful figurative work influenced by the surrealists and the orientalists. Her work extends to musical instruments, furniture and fans, as well as miniature formats.
